Quito will host a wide range of cultural activities during the upcoming holiday period from April 30 to May 3, with events beginning on Wednesday, April 29.

The program includes both free and paid options, ranging from book presentations and workshops to live music, theater, and film screenings.

On Wednesday, April 29, activities include a book presentation at the Benjamín Carrión Cultural Center, a video-performance screening at the Metropolitan Cultural Center, and an evening of electronic music in the historic center. A theater performance will also take place at the Capitol Theatre.

On Thursday, April 30, the Metropolitan Library Network will host a reading-focused activity for children at the Calderón Municipal Library.

From May 1 to May 2, the Itchimbía Cultural Center will offer a botanical watercolor workshop, with free participation available through prior registration.

On Saturday, May 2, the Sucre National Theater will stage the play ‘An Act of Faith,’ while Yaku Water Museum Park will host guided experiential tours.

The program concludes on Sunday, May 3, with a film forum at the Contemporary Art Center featuring a screening of “The Iron Giant” in a family-friendly setting.
