Passengers traveling between Cuenca and Quito will see flight schedule changes this Saturday, May 9, because of temporary runway maintenance at Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito.

Airport operations will be suspended from 2:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. while preventive maintenance work is carried out on the runway. During that period, no takeoffs or landings will be allowed, although the passenger terminal will remain open.

Latam flight LA1401 from Quito to Cuenca has also been moved and is now scheduled to depart at 3:45 p.m.

Airport officials said airlines notified passengers in advance about the itinerary changes but advised travelers to verify updated flight information directly with their airline before heading to the airport.

• May 16 and May 30
• June 6
• September 5, 12, and 26
