A vehicle left the roadway and fell into a ravine along the E-35 highway toward El Quinche, east of Quito, prompting a coordinated emergency response.
The incident triggered the deployment of firefighters and police to the scene, where crews found four people inside the vehicle.
Rescue teams worked to extract all occupants from the ravine. Once brought to safety, the four individuals were treated on site by paramedics.
Traffic was partially affected during the operation:
- One lane was closed near the Cusubamba Y
- The closure applied in the Cusubamba–El Quinche direction
The lane remained restricted while rescue efforts were completed.
