A boy who had been reported missing in Quito was found alive on Friday, May 1, after a search operation led to his location in the Ascázubi ravine in the northern part of the city.

The child was discovered among dense vegetation after authorities received an alert through the ECU 911 emergency system. Members of the Special Operations Group carried out the search and located him in the ravine.

Following the rescue, the boy was taken to a safe location, where he underwent a medical evaluation. He was later reunited with his parents.

Officials confirmed that the child was in good health after the incident.
