Authorities in Quito closed a business that was operating as a clandestine brothel behind the front of a restaurant in the northern part of the city.
- Establishment used a restaurant license as a cover
- Rooms with beds and related items found on upper floors
- Drugs including cocaine and marijuana discovered
- Appointments allegedly arranged through a private Telegram group
During the operation, inspectors found that the location was not functioning solely as a restaurant. On upper levels of the building, they discovered rooms equipped with beds and other items suggesting organized activity beyond the permitted use.
Investigators also found drugs inside the property. Authorities indicated that services were being arranged through a closed Telegram group.
The business was shut down as part of enforcement actions targeting unauthorized activities operating under legal business permits.
The case follows other recent operations in the city aimed at closing establishments operating outside regulations.
